GUEST COMMENTS
"There were so many highlights on this trip that started on the first early morning walk on day two, with many new birds before breakfast, a great boat trip to see the majestic Whooping Cranes, the tower viewpoint with so many Raptors (including 2 fantastic Swallow-tailed Kites), a rare view of a Bobcat stalking its prey, millions of Brazillian Free-tailed Bats pouring from their roost cave, a visit to the reserve on High Island that had so many migrants in the trees that it must have taken nearly an hour before we even got through the entrance gate, and once inside the excitement of finding many very colouful birds. These are really just a sample of some great memories and a personal list of over 170 new birds for one trip was amazing."
Marilyn Pritchard & Mark Bridges, Texas

""There were so many highlights on this holiday, including seeing 250 species of bird but the two for me were the Leatherback Turtles laying eggs on Matura beach. The way they prepared the hole for the eggs, laid them and then camouflaged the site was amazing. The other highlight was walking to a remote cave on Trinidad and then clambouring down into it to stand on a "soft, moving" floor of guano and roaches surrounded by thousands of bats as they flew around us before leaving their roost in a swirl at dusk in a never ending stram, passing between us so close you could feel the air move as they passed!"
Lynn Osborne, Trinidad & Tobago

VISIT SCOTLAND - Quality Assurance Scheme - Wildlife Experience

Speyside Wildlife is one of 40 wildlife businesses to be assessed under Visit Scotland's pilot scheme for Wildlife Experiences achieving 4 Star status for our day tours. Watch out for the designation throughout Scotland. We were delighted to receive our letter of confirmation from Visit Scotland so thought we'd share some of it with you here, ''Thank you for participating in the pilot of the new Wildlife Experience Designator within our Quality Assurance Scheme for visitor attractions. Your feedback and contribution to the introduction of this new development has been invaluable and we would like to welcome you as a new member of the Quality Assurance Grading Scheme".

WILD SCOTLAND - Scotland's Wildlife Tourism Association

Wild Scotland is Scotland's Wildlife and Nature-based Tour Operators' Association - a group of wildlife professionals who are all committed to delivering a first class wildlife-watching experience to their guests. Members provide a wide range of wildlife attractions and holidays throughout Scotland from birdwatching to whale-watching and from boat trips to land safaris. We have been involved in the association from its conception and have worked with Visit Scotland on the new accreditation scheme for the industry.
