Great things have been happening at our evening wildlife watching hide recently… We've had 4-5 Badgers each evening – all feeding frantically, laying down fat for the winter. The biggest male was seen growling, shoving and biting younger ones, to keep the peanuts, and then he made off with an egg! One or two young Pine Martens coming in each night too – they are wary of the badgers, and have very thick fur now for the winter. They also are burying the eggs for later. Red Deer hinds, calves and Pipistrelle Bats have also been showing up.
