Darren’s Exhibition: Ice, Birds and Bears – Paintings From The North

Our regular guests will not be surprised to learn that Speyside guide Darren Rees is making an exhibition of himself over the coming weeks. His latest one-man show ‘Ice, Birds and Bears’ features paintings and sketches from Arctic Canada and Spitsbergen – so that’s what he’s been doing when he should be leading tours!

The show is busy with polar bears, walruses, little auks and other beasties from the far north with a few other favourites thrown in like hawk owl, gyr falcon and harlequins. It’s a real treat with something for everyone – from small sketchbook pages to large canvasses. You can catch it at the SOC Birdwatching Centre, Aberlady, Lothian, until March 19th 2008.

Watch out for the designation throughout Scotland.
